We customize our lesson programs to whatever our students need. We offer lessons in-home in South Orange County, in our studio in Rancho Santa Margarita, and online no matter where you are.

We offer lessons in our studio location in Rancho Santa Margarita! We have a Yamaha digital grand piano in the studio so that our students can have the experience of taking weekly lessons on a grand piano. We have studio lesson times available seven days a week!

Private Lessons


Piano Lessons

We teach many styles and genres of piano for all ages, including classical, pop, jazz, and more. Piano Adventures for Elementary and Older Beginners including the Piano Adventures Certificate Program, Classical Instruction and ABRSM for intermediate and advanced players, Chord approach for recreational players and vocalists who want to learn to accompany themselves. We also offer opportunities to play duets with fellow students. 

Violin Lessons

Essential Elements Violin Curriculum, ABRSM program, and Suzuki Violin program for students of all ages, experienced teaching violin to young children, opportunities for duet work for older students, piano accompaniment during lessons. Small violin available for young student trial lesson.

Voice Lessons

Music Theater Vocal training, audition prep, acting in song, monologue coaching, preparation for high school and college auditions, Jazz, contemporary and pop singing styles.

Ukulele Lessons

Essential Elements, tablature reading, learn to play your favorite fun pop songs. Students can play melodies or accompany themselves while singing.

Music Theory Lessons

Beginners through AP Music Theory class level, keyboard skills are also taught in conjunction with music theory instruction.

Early Childhood Music

Available for kids age 3-5, we can provide a customized and age appropriate music experience for your little ones. Explore multiple instruments and learn musical and cognitive skills for healthy development.

1. We bring the joy of piano, voice, violin, and ukulele lessons to you!

  • We are a traveling music studio and our teachers come to your home at your convenience, making learning music stress-free for families.

  • Parents save time and money by having lessons at home. You don’t have to drive anywhere to get high quality music lessons for your child. You can continue working at home or caring for your other children while the music lessons are going on.

  • If you prefer, our RSM studio offers a calm, quiet, and distraction free environment for students to achieve their musical goals. 

  • We also offer high quality online music lessons for students who cannot come in-person to our studio.

2. Students of all ages, abilities, and experience levels are welcome!

  • We have a specialty early childhood program for students ages 3-5 years old.

  • We teach elementary, middle and high school age students in our K-12 program which covers all levels from beginners, intermediate, to advanced students.

  • We have a dynamic and engaging program for our adult students.

7. We celebrate student success with four performance opportunities each year!

  • Every parent wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it is to have their child participate in a recital.

  • We offer a variety of performance experiences for our students across multiple locations in South Orange County. We also incorporate our online students into recitals through creating music videos and performing live on Zoom!

8. We create monthly special music events to celebrate achievement and create customized and engaging learning experiences.

  • We select a student of the month each month and highlight their achievements for our student community in our monthly newsletter. 

  • We also bring monthly themed events to our students to reinforce musical skills, teach music theory, and promote a regular practice schedule with extra fun activities and prizes!

9. Early morning and lunch time lessons are available for homeschoolers, college students, retired people, and working professionals.

  • We offer lessons as early as 8 am and we see many students between the hours of 11 am and 2 pm.

  • If you are retired, a home school parent, a college student, or working professional who has a flexible schedule, take advantage of our early morning and lunch time lesson spots.

10. We are a year-round school and offer month-to-month lessons so you can join anytime.

  • Dove Canyon Music Lessons does not require semester minimums for lessons. You can start lessons as soon as you are ready! Every student here is on a month-to-month basis.

Dr. Mary DiCamillo has 30 + years experience teaching piano, voice, violin, and music theory to children, teens, and adults of all ages.  She teaches using a multi-sensory approach to learning.  Mary believes it is never to early or too late to study music!  She is experienced with special needs learners and is a Board Certified Music Therapist and Professional Educational Therapist.  Mary can tailor the music learning experience to any student's needs and she offers a no stress, fun approach to music study.

Marisa Lovullo is a performer, educator, and therapist who has worked with students of all ages for the past 8 years. She teaches voice at all levels and across genres, piano, music theory, and songwriting. Marisa is also a board-certified music therapist. She is passionate about incorporating her students’ interests into their lessons and helping them achieve their musical goals!
